“They told us to lay down our barbells. We told them to come and take them.” I started out as an obese kid whose only exercise was a pickup football game or bike ride, maybe once a week. Then as I was introduced to fitness by my 8th grade gym teacher I began caring more about my health. With a year or so of the basic bodybuilding stuff I got bored with it, and met current coaches Jed and Neil. They helped me get started with CrossFit. After a few classes, I was hooked. Although the workouts were amazing, I was more intrigued by the tight knit community. After a couple years of torn hands, muscle soreness, and FRAN lung I developed a new family.
